PHOENIX — A vegan dessert shop is set to open Friday in Gilbert with treats on sale for $1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The 850-square-foot Cinnaholic is located in the San Tan Village Pavilions near Loop 202 and Williams Field Road.
The shop’s grand opening will also include face painting, balloon artists, Disney characters and giveaways.
“We are a gourmet bakery with a unique dessert experience. Our guests get fresh-baked cinnamon rolls right out of the oven that they can customize and make their own,” Shanntel Hobbensiefken, co-owner of the Gilbert location, told KTAR News 92.3 FM in an email Monday.
All of the shop’s ingredients, including its 20 frostings and 20 toppings, are vegan.
The shop will also offer brownies, cookies, bite-sized rolls, cinnamon roll cakes and edible cookie dough.
Cinnaholic opened its first location in California in 2010 before its owners appeared on “Shark Tank” in 2014 and adopted a franchise model.
There are four Cinnaholic locations in California, with the Gilbert location being the first in Arizona.
