PHOENIX – Valley travelers are getting another option for making Las Vegas getaways.
Frontier Airlines on Tuesday announced new nonstop service between Sin City’s McCarran International Airport and seven destinations, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The daily Phoenix-Las Vegas route will debut Sept. 6.
The discount carrier is offering an introductory rate of $29 each way ($25 for members of Frontier’s Discount Den program) for Tuesday and Wednesday travel through Dec. 14, but you have to act fast. The special, which excludes Thanksgiving week, is available only until 8:59 p.m. Wednesday (Arizona time).
“Frontier is committed to delivering ‘low fares done right,’ and with these new routes even more travelers will have the opportunity to fly and fly more often,” Daniel Shurz, Frontier senior vice president of commercial, said in a press release.
Frontier’s no-frills rates cover travel with one personal item. Carry-on and checked bags require an additional fee, as do other upgrade options.
In November 2018, the airline added five new destinations from Sky Harbor: Fort Myers, Florida; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Madison, Wisconsin; Norfolk, Virginia; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
