PHOENIX — The Hava Java coffee shop, which has operated in Phoenix for nearly 30 years, is expected to open its second Valley location in late August.
The new coffeehouse at Power and McDowell roads in Mesa will be three times the size of its original location, owner Justin Shafer told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
The East Valley shop will include two patios and a “study hall” area for people looking to plug in laptops, as well as local craft beer, kombucha and nitro cold brew on tap.
Shafer said the original Hava Java at the Biltmore Plaza Shopping Center near Camelback Road and 32nd Street, open since 1992, will also be seeing some updates.
“In addition to all of our current yummy food and beverages, we will be also serving new in house made items such as breakfast sandwiches and guest chef surprises,” Shafer said.
“We are launching a new 100% fruit smoothie line of drinks at the Biltmore location … and of course the new location will include those and many new items.”
