Mason told his mother he was at a friend’s house but she hadn’t been able to get in touch with him since then, according to police.
The boy is 5 feet tall, weighs 80 pounds and has dirty blond hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing a blue, short sleeve shirt with “Maui” printed on the front and blue basketball shorts over black or gray sweatpants.
Family members told police Mason had never run away before.
