PHOENIX — A 3-year-old boy was expected to make a full recovery after nearly drowning Sunday morning, authorities said.
Phoenix Fire responded to a call after the boy was found in a pool at a residence near 13th Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 9 a.m.
He was taken to a pediatric emergency hospital in extremely critical condition.
“Remember, our younger members of our community, they’re very vulnerable to drowning in backyard pools,” Phoenix Fire Capt. Rob McDade told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Monday.
“Nothing, and I mean nothing, can replace constant supervision of your children.”
No other information was available.
