PHOENIX– Saint Holdings, LLC will launch a 640-acre data center in Pinal County dedicated to tech-forward businesses endeavors, the company announced Thursday in a press release.
“We are at the epicenter of tomorrow’s cutting-edge technology,” Jackob Andersen, president and CEO of Saint Holdings, said. “Pinal County is no longer the hidden gem between Phoenix and Tucson.”
The center will be located near the I-8 and I-10 corridor adjacent to one of the company’s two-mega center sites, Inland Port Arizona. The site is ideal for the data center because it is already equipped with zoning, water, fiber optics, solar capability and power options.
As a multi-faced real estate investment and development company, Saint Holdings has been at the center of some of the biggest recent land deals to occur in Pinal County, such as the $23 million sale of land to Nikola Motor Co. for a hydrogen-electric semi truck maker’s manufacturing plant.
Recently, Saint has also procured successful land deals with Lucid Motors and NextEra Energy. Deals like these are expected to generate 4,000 jobs by 2024 for the creation of new-technology vehicles, renewable energy and other tech sectors.
“Working collaboratively with all parties involved to bring these deals to fruition is what ultimately set us up for success – and through it all, Jackob (Andersen of Saint Holdings) has been at the center of it to make it happen,” City of Coolidge Mayor Jon Thompson said in the release. “There is a lot in store for Arizona as the region transforms into the hub for progressive technology.”
Saint has held 11,400 acres in Pinal County since 2013. In recent years, they’ve collaborated with engineers, consultants, state and local entities and land planners to build the groundwork for the expected tech boom in the area.
