PHOENIX — An upscale Mexican restaurant has opened its doors in Scottsdale.
Agave del Scottsdale, which brands itself as high-end, authentic Mexican cuisine, opened June 6 on the southeast corner of Hayden Road and Via de Ventura, according to a press release.
The restaurant is in the location of the old Butters Pancakes & Cafe.
“We are excited to bring Agave del Scottsdale to the community and share what we are passionate about – genuine Mexican food, diverse tequila, refined hospitality and entertainment,” Hector Soto, the restaurant’s general manager, said in the release.
The restaurant promises a menu of authentic Mexican food, drawing on the owners’ heritage and an executive chef who moved from Mexico City to head the kitchen.
Diners will be able to enjoy five types of mole sauces, seafood entrees, made-to-order guacamole, tequila, mescal and more in an open-air dining room or at the indoor-outdoor bar.
The restaurant will also have a live DJ during Friday and Saturday happy hour from 3-6 p.m.
