Man accused of stealing car with 5-year-old boy inside at Phoenix airport

PHOENIX – A suspect faces kidnapping and other charges after allegedly stealing a car with a 5-year-old boy inside at a Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport terminal on Sunday.
Scott Eric Duran, 28, was booked for kidnapping, robbery, auto theft, endangerment, prohibited weapons possession and unlawful flight after being taken into custody, according to a Phoenix Police Department press release.
The vehicle was taken from the south side of Terminal 4, curbside level two, at around 6:30 p.m., the release said.
A patrol unit located the vehicle traveling westbound on Sky Harbor Boulevard.
Duran was arrested after coming to a stop heading eastbound in front of Terminal 2.
The boy, who was uninjured, was reunited with his mother.
