PHOENIX — An international provider of kidney care products and services announced plans last week to relocate a business support center to Chandler.
The 40,000-square-foot Fresenius Medical Care North America office near Price and Germann roads is expected to open this fall with room for about 200 employees, according to a press release.
The business center at Park Place, a 170-acre mixed-use business park, will provide administrative services to more than 2,400 dialysis centers in the U.S.
Germany-based Fresenius also operates its regional headquarters in Chandler and more than 60 dialysis centers throughout Arizona.
“We are excited for the opportunity to expand our presence in Chandler,” CEO Bill Valle said in the release.
“We have made a strong commitment in Arizona to support individuals living with kidney failure with the highest quality care.”
About 1 in 7 U.S. adults have chronic kidney disease, according to the company.
And in Arizona, more than 14,500 people were living with kidney failure as of 2016, the company said.
