Applications open for 2 spots on Maricopa County Superior Court

PHOENIX — Applications are being accepted for two vacancies on the Maricopa County Superior Court.
The Maricopa County Commission on Trial Court Appointments will review applicants and recommend three nominees for each spot to Gov. Doug Ducey, who will appoint the new judges.
The newcomers will replace retiring Judges Janet E. Barton and Cari A. Harrison.
Applicants must be at least 30 years old, of good moral character and admitted to practice law in Arizona. They also must be an Arizona resident for the past five years and a resident of Maricopa County for the past year.
Application forms are available online and must be submitted by July 8.
The judges will be paid about $150,000 annually.
