Developer breaks ground on active adult community in Surprise

PHOENIX — A new community is coming to the Valley.
Lennar Homes broke ground Wednesday on a gated active adult community in Surprise.
Named Heritage at Asante, the development will feature 1,500 homes with three different styles from the low $200,000s. The community will also feature a recreation center, pickleball and bocce courts, a pool, nine-hole putting course, a dog park and trail systems.
“We are very excited about growing our presence in the West Valley with a product that is unlike any other,” Alan Jones, division president of Lennar Homes said in a press release.
“Lennar is committed to continuing to innovate and develop unique communities that meet the changing needs of homeowners.”

In addition to amenities, Asante will also feature a school, library and 50-acre park.
The community is expected to be completed by early 2020.
According to the press release, hundreds of new construction jobs will be created in the West Valley as more developments are built over the next few years.
