PHOENIX — Although Memorial Weekend is behind us, there’s still something to celebrate.
Tuesday marks National Hamburger Day.
After a long three-day weekend, a day filled with burgers just might be what the doctor ordered.
But if you can’t make it to the barbecue to grill up a bite to eat, don’t fret, as the Phoenix-area boasts a number of eateries up for the task.
With the help of Yelp reviews, here’s a look at some of the top spots to grab a burger:
Paradise Valley Burger Company
Topping the list was the Paradise Valley Burger Company in Phoenix.
Rated 4.5 stars on Yelp, the restaurant has 1,294 reviews, 826 of which were five-star ratings.
“Best Burger I’ve had, hands down. Worth an hour long drive if we’re being honest,” Yelp reviewer Jack M. wrote. “My drive is only 30 minutes but you get the point. Do yourself a favor.. get two.”
Rehab Burger Therapy
While it doesn’t boast the same amount of reviews as the top spot, Rehab Burger Therapy came in at No. 2.
Located in Phoenix, the establishment has a 4.5-star rating.
Ninety-one of the 139 reviews have been five star.
“I LOVE burgers, so when I heard about this place, I felt it was a must. I was NOT disappointed!” Yelp reviewer Brett S. said. “I ate the PB&J burger with bacon and sriracha. It was perfect! The aesthetic is very relaxed and beachy.”
The Dressing Room
Coming in third was The Dressing Room.
Receiving 382 five-star reviews out of the 510 posted, the restaurant has a 4.5-star rating.
“The RoRo Burger on a bun was everything one would want from a burger, juicy, fresh, high quality meat, and cooked right,” Yelp reviewer Robert F. said. “With salad and fries hitting the same notes of freshness and flavor, I was in heaven.”
Lucky’s Burgers & Shakes
Fourth place belonged to Lucky’s Burgers & Shakes.
Of the 205 reviews, 162 were five-star ratings, while only one-star reviews were given just twice.
“Burgers are phenomenal. Thinner patties mean a faster cook time,” Yelp reviewer Miguel B. said. “You lose the juiciness of the thick patties but the seasoning and the finishing sauce is the key to their burgers. Great flavor. Grilled not cooked on a flat top like other chains. It really adds to the flavor of these burgers.”
The Stand
Rounding out the top five was The Stand.
Boasting the most reviews out of the top spots on the list, the establishment has 941 reviews, earning four stars.
Of those reviews, 414 were five-star ratings.
“The patties flavor was amazing, great sauce, and the deal breaker for most burgers, the bun, was on point,” Yelp reviewer Nick W. said. “BUT the game changer is the roasted Jalapenos. Oh man they took the already good burger to the next level.”
