Wrong way driver identified as Apache Junction man in active Silver Alert

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert for a missing Apache Junction man has been canceled after he was stopped by police while driving the wrong way on U.S. 60 early Monday morning.
Albin G. Fischer, 83, was stopped by the Superior Police Department at mile post 217 at approximately 3:15 a.m.
Fischer was last seen in the area of the 1600 block of Ironwood Drive and Tepee Street on Sunday.
According to authorities, Fischer was last seen driving a two-toned, brown and silver Ford F-150 pickup truck with Colorado plate 981TUE.
No other information was immediately available.
