Glendale man found dead in car due to gunshot wounds

PHOENIX — A shooting on Saturday night in Glendale left one man dead in his car near the corner of Glendale and 67th avenues.
Joshua Jose Miguel Juarez, a 29-year-old Glendale resident, was found dead with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of his grey sedan, according to a release by the Glendale Police.
Police officers responded to the scene following calls reporting a shooting and a ShotSpotter alert.
ShotSpotter is a gun shot detection device that monitors gunfire activity through acoustic sensors that detect the sound and time stamp of the suspected gun shot that triangulates where the shot took place, according to the company’s website.
There was only one victim in the shooting.
Police are still investigating the incident.
No further information has been released.
