PHOENIX — Youth-oriented discount retailer Five Below on Friday opened its first store in Arizona at Tempe Marketplace.
The Philadelphia-based company plans to open five stores in Arizona this year, including one at Desert Ridge north of the Loop 101 at Tatum Boulevard.
The store is hosting a grand opening party on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fast-growing Five Below offers tech gadgets, candy, beauty kits and a wide variety of other items from brands such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Lego and Pez, with nothing priced at more than $5.
“Five Below places emphasis on experience-driven retail, which nicely aligns with our goal of providing guests unique shopping opportunities in the north Valley,” Jenny Cushing, vice president of leasing at Vestar, said in a press release earlier this year.
