Silver Alert issued for missing Avondale man with dementia

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Avondale man.
According to authorities, 83-year-old Louis Brooks Jr. was last seen in the area of 12814 W. Indianola Ave in Avondale on Tuesday.
Brooks is African American with brown eyes and grey hair. He stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 165 pounds.
He was last seen in a 2016 Dodge Dart with an Arizona license plate with a wheelchair symbol FMV20.
According to Avondale police, Brooks suffers from dementia.
Based on debit card transactions, Brooks is believed to be headed toward Quartzsite. He may be traveling to California.
Brooks is possibly wearing a white shirt with blue jeans and red and white Nike shoes.
