PHOENIX — Avondale’s Zoom neighborhood circulator bus service will expand its schedule to include Sundays later this month.

The buses, which travel through Avondale, Tolleson and Goodyear, will operate every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays beginning April 28.

“Since its launch in July 2011, we have monitored feedback from our passengers and made adjustments based on rider’s requests,” Kristen Taylor, Avondale transit coordinator, said in a press release.

“The recent modification adds a Sunday service for the Zoom, to provide service seven days a week.”

On weekdays, the buses run every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Each trip costs 50 cents.

According to the release, the service had over 190,000 riders in 2018.

Destinations on the Zoom routes include Estrella Mountain Community College, Historic Avondale, Tolleson City Hall and the West Valley Hospital.
