PHOENIX — An Interstate 10 access road between 59th and 67th avenues will be closed for a month starting Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
During the closure, which extends to May, construction crews will make road improvements including new drainage, curb and gutter and traffic and sidewalk signals. Crews will also complete the access road connections between the two avenues.
The westbound access road was created to complement a Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange ahead of the freeway’s anticipated 2020 completion.
Motorists looking to reach destinations between 59th and 67th avenues should consider alternate routes, including local streets.
