PHOENIX — The Arizona Center’s $25 million renovation is complete, and work on a new hotel will soon be underway, the downtown Phoenix retail and office development announced Tuesday.
The project, which began in early 2017, focused on modernizing the complex with new features such as creative office spaces, outdoor work stations and a 60-foot LED jumbotron.
The aim was to make the center, located at Third and Van Buren streets, more welcoming and walkable.
“We are thrilled to debut the newly renovated Arizona Center,” Matt Root, managing partner for Parallel Capital Partners, the owner and manager of the center, said in a press release. “The upgrades to the center bring a whole new vibe to the heart of downtown Phoenix.”
Two new tenants have moved in — Kwench Juice Cafe and health foods restaurant Freshii — while a third, Bosa Donuts, is expected to open in early June.
Soon, a new 13-story boutique hotel will break ground at the Arizona Center.
AC Hotel, a Marriott property, will break ground in April and is expected to be completed by the third quarter in 2020.
“As we add tenants, Arizona Center will continue to become an even bigger hub for meeting up with friends and family, entertainment, shopping and so much more,” Root said.
