Silver Alert canceled for 77-year-old Phoenix man with dementia

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Friday after a 77-year-old man with onset dementia showed up at his relative’s home after being missing for more than 24 hours.
Ausencio Lopez Rivera was reported missing after being seen at his home near 109th Avenue and Indian School Road around 9 a.m. Thursday.
The alert was canceled around 2 p.m. Friday.
He was described as a 5-foot-3 man with gray hair and brown eyes. He also has a 3-inch scar along his right cheek.
Rivera was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a logo on it, a black pullover sweater with a hoodie, red shirt, blue jeans and gray New Balance tennis shoes.
Authorities issued another Silver Alert for 83-year-old Roberto Velazquez, who was last seen in the area of 70th and Cambridge avenues around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was described as a 5-foot-3 man with white hair, a full beard and brown eyes. He also has vitiligo, a disorder that causes his skin to appear bleached.
Velazquez also has a medical condition which may cause him to appear confused or disoriented. He was last seen on foot.
