PHOENIX – Police in Phoenix said Thursday a man accused of shooting three people and kidnapping his girlfriend has been taken into custody after a day and a half on the run.

Eddison Jesus Noyola, 27, was caught in a Glendale neighborhood along with girlfriend Andrea Dixon, in a second stolen vehicle, authorities said.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson told KTAR News 92.3 FM Noyola was stopped in a 2006 Toyota Highlander near 55th Avenue and Thunderbird Road around 1:30 a.m.

Dixon appeared unharmed. They were taken into custody without incident, Thompson added.

Noyola was charged with attempted first-degree murder, burglary, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

He had last been seen around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix, where he allegedly shot an unidentified male and kidnapped Dixon, 30.

Phoenix police said based on his actions — he allegedly stole a gun and a car from family members in Glendale — they believed Noyola was going to hurt himself and Dixon.

According to court documents, Noyola told his sister that Dixon had not been faithful and he was going to cut her hands off.

That car was found near 15th Avenue and Polk Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Family members weren’t hurt but police said two men were shot several miles away in Phoenix and then a third was shot about 20 minutes later at another location in Phoenix.

Court documents showed that the Phoenix victims were shot in the head, neck and right knee.

The two men were hospitalized in critical condition, but the victim who was shot in the head was not expected to survive his injuries.

Noyola and Dixon were found in a car authorities said had been stolen in the West Valley city.

Noyola will appear in court later this month.
