PHOENIX — Former U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona and his wife have lived in a large Mesa home since 1999, raising five kids along the way.
Now, as empty nesters, the couple is looking for another family to fill the space, according to Realtor.com.
Unit 19 near Greenfield and McKellips roads, offering 4,625 square feet of living space, has been listed for sale at $650,000.
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was built in 1989 and includes a large basement, pool and spa.
The spacious residence is located in a gated neighborhood that has community tennis courts and playgrounds.
A listing agent told Realtor.com that the Flake family was known for hosting football games and playing tennis with neighbors.
The Republican senator announced his retirement from office in 2017, and Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema won his seat in the 2018 midterm election.
Once Flake ruled out the idea of challenging President Donald Trump in 2020, he took a job as a contributor on CBS and became a board member of Scottsdale-based homebuilder Taylor Morrison.
