FORM festival in Arcosanti ranked among best trips of 2019

PHOENIX — If you’re planning on making a trip this year, you may not have to look too far.

Travel website Outside Online rated Arizona, specifically Arcosanti, among the best vacation spots for 2019.

The article listed the top 33 trips across 15 countries and 16 states.

Arizona ranked No. 22 on the list for its experimental community Arcosanti, which hosts the annual FORM music festival.

According to Outside Online, FORM shows a different approach to music festivals by offering guests a more intimate and creative experience.

“The event removes the commercialism, angst, and druggy vibe from the music-fest template and replaces it with inspirational talks, views of the Sonoran Desert, and daily cliffside pool parties,” the article said.

Indie artist Florence + the Machine and electronic DJ Skrillex will headline this year’s festival, which takes place May 10-12.

In addition to the music, other festival activities include morning rooftop yoga, glamping, “discussions of art and climate change” and hikes on the Verde River Basin.

Standard tickets are sold out for the weekend, but limited glamping and RV packages are still available.
