Metro Phoenix agency seeks input from commuters for long-term plans

PHOENIX – The regional planning agency for metro Phoenix wants to hear about your daily commute.
The Maricopa Association of Governments is asking Valley motorists to fill out a 10-minute online survey about the regional transportation system.
“This survey asks people what they value most and allows them to tell us their transportation priorities,” Gail Barney, MAG chair and mayor of Queen Creek, said in a press release.
“We want them to imagine how they want to get around in the future.”

Participants will be entered in a raffle with prizes that include $100 gift cards, personal electronics and a $1,000 grand prize.
The results will help the agency make long-term plans for roads, bikeways and other modes of transportation across the Valley.
“This system isn’t only for us, it also is for our kids and grandkids, the future generations who will be using this system and calling this place home,” Barney said. “It is our responsibility to be forward thinking.”
