PHOENIX – A puppy who was hobbled by rubber bands on his ankles is ready for his forever home.
Little Foot will be available for adoption Sunday at the Arizona Humane Society campus at 1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix.
The 2-month-old pit bull is expected to have plenty of suitors, so a drawing will be held at 12:05 p.m.
Doors will open at 11 a.m., and tickets for the drawing will be issued until noon.
Three names will be drawn, with the first family getting the first chance to adopt Little Foot.
The adoption fee is $450.
A good Samaritan found the puppy in January and turned him over to the Humane Society.
The rubber bands binding his ankles had cut off circulation, causing his paws to swell and making it hard for him to walk.
Little Foot was nursed back to health with treatment that included laser therapy to stimulate healing and warm compress massages to boost circulation.
He’s been living at a foster home while getting ready for adoption.
