PHOENIX – Miniature golf, bowling, karaoke, arcade games, craft cocktails, an eclectic food menu and more, all under one roof? In downtown Phoenix?

That’s exactly what Punch Bowl Social has planned for its new location in the Roosevelt Row Arts District.

The growing Denver-based entertainment venue expects to open the 22,000-square-foot wonderland on the northeast corner of Second and Garfield streets in September.

“We liked the idea of moving into a long-vacant building and breathing new life and vitality to this corner of the neighborhood,” Punch Bowl Social founder Robert Thompson said in a press release.

The refurbished spot will include a 360-degree bar, outdoor patio space and lounging areas suitable for groups of various sizes.

Punch Bowl’s menu features made-from-scratch creations such as chicken and waffles with chipotle syrup, fried bologna sandwiches and green chorizo fries.

The beverage selection includes nonalcoholic cocktails, local beers and the restaurant’s signature artisanal punches.

The chain has 15 locations nationwide, with another nine, including Phoenix, on tap for this year.

“The Roosevelt Row neighborhood was at the top of our location wish list. It vibrates with nightlife, boutiques, street art and gallery spaces while delivering an unparalleled experience to its many visitors,” Thompson said in the release.

“This really resonated with us as we considered specific sites throughout the city.”

The building is owned by True North Studio, which also is developing the Cambria Hotel a few blocks away at Third and Portland streets and recently purchased a nearby office building at Central Avenue and Roosevelt Street for $15.25 million.
