PHOENIX — A feature on the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division’s website can take some stress out of tax season.

The “vehicle license tax paid in 2018” feature, available on the ServiceArizona website, gives vehicle owners a report on how much was paid in taxes and fees for all of their registered vehicles.

Doug Nick, MVD spokesman, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that people filing their taxes can go to the website’s bottom right tab to view “exactly how much you paid in vehicle license tax and other fees for the calendar year 2018.”

The service is free and requires vehicle owners to enter a driver’s license number and date of birth.

Nick said the agency has offered the feature for several years, but the website was recently updated to reflect information from last year.

“The nice thing about this is that it’s just one-stop shopping, if you will, to get that information. Otherwise people sometimes rummage around in their glove compartment or in their sun visor in their car or wherever they keep their registration, and they make a photo copy of it to see what the cost was,” he said.

“This is a lot simpler way of doing it, and it has all of your vehicles in one place.”

KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Kevin Fleischman contributed to this report.
