PHOENIX — WeWork has announced that it will be opening its first location in Phoenix in the third quarter of 2019.

According to a company representative, it will be located in Tower 1 of the Camelback Esplanade complex at 2542 E. Camelback Road.

“Phoenix is growing very quickly, and is a place that more and more companies are looking to for talent and opportunity,” said Nathan Lenahan, WeWork General Manager, Mountain West/Texas.

“We are very excited to bring WeWork to Phoenix, and to be part of the renaissance happening in this city.”

The office space will occupy the first four stories of the building and will include roughly 900 desks.

“The addition of WeWork to the Camelback Corridor is a sign of the area’s continued growth and newfound focus on creative and tech industries,” said Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams.

“This stretch of Camelback through the Biltmore has always been known for its premiere office space, and it continues to attract nationally known brands and tenants.”

As of December, WeWork has 400,000 members in 400 countries, 99 cities and 26 countries, according to a company representative.

WeWork is now the largest private occupier of office space in Manhattan, London and Washington, D.C.
