PHOENIX — First there was the Phoenix Pizza Festival. Then the Downtown Donut Festival.
Now the founders of those events are giving everyone’s favorite side dish a festival of its own: FRIED, a french fry and music festival.
The celebration of fried potatoes will take place in Phoenix’s Margaret T. Hance Park on April 20 from 2-10 p.m.
There will be more than 20 French fry “creations” to purchase for $2-3 each, as well as beer and wine.
The music lineup, while yet to be announced, will feature musicians, bands and DJs.
Interested food and market vendors can register online.
Admission tickets, which only cover entry and not french fries, must be purchased in advance and are available online for $15.
The event will benefit Downtown Phoenix Inc., a nonprofit that promotes revitalization of the downtown area.
