Silver Alert canceled after Mesa man with dementia found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday morning after a man from Mesa who suffers from dementia was found safe after he was missing for more than 24 hours.
Jon Kerr, 67, was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Monday near Dobson Road and Rio Salado Parkway when he left for a walk, Mesa police said.
He was found safely in Phoenix around 9 a.m. the next day.
Kerr was recently diagnosed with dementia and suffered from a traumatic brain injury years ago.
Police said he easily becomes confused and has other conditions that can cause him to faint.
Police described Kerr as white with green eyes and gray hair.
He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
Kerr was least seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, gray tennis shoes, glasses and a royal blue LA Dodgers baseball cap.
Police noted his hair is shorter than depicted in the photo.
