PHOENIX – The inauguration ceremony for Arizona’s six state elected officials – four Republicans and two Democrats – will be held Jan. 7 at the Capitol Mall.

Two Democrats, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman, and Republican Treasurer Kimberly Yee will be sworn into their positions for the first time.

Gov. Doug Ducey, Attorney General Mark Brnovich and State Mine Inspector Joe Hart, all Republicans, will be returning to office. Ducey and Brnovich will each take the oath of office for the second time, and Hart will begin his fourth term.

Seating begins at 9 a.m., and the ceremony starts at 10 a.m.

The program will include music from an Arizona National Guard band and a joint color guard of personnel from the Arizona National Guard and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

There also will be a flyover by F-16 fighters from the Arizona Air National Guard.

Other events and activities will include a food tasting fair featuring 10 Arizona restaurants and a family friendly zone with cultural attraction and sports mascots.

The Taste of Arizona Success and Explore Arizona events will be held on the Capitol grounds following the inauguration.

The event is open to the public, but free tickets must be secured online in advance starting Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
