Fortnite toys ranked as most popular in Arizona during holiday season

PHOENIX — The video game that has taken the world by storm has made a lasting impact in Arizona.

Fortnite action figures are the state’s most popular toy this holiday season, according to

Arizona was one of five states, including Texas and Pennsylvania, to have the real life version of the video game’s characters as its most popular toy.’s data team looked at the toys people are shopping for most according to Google Shopping data from the last three months.

After compiling a list of toys, it then analyzed that data with Google Trends to determine the most popular toy in each state.

It’s easy to see why Fortnite action figures are so popular.

They are moderately priced — you can purchase 12 action figures for $10 total from eBay — and with dozens of characters available for purchase, provides for a wide variety of tastes.

Fortnite is the free-to-play, colorful battle royale video game that has been popularized in the past year because of its dancing and ability to capture the attention of mainstream celebrities, athletes and musicians.
