If you felt like a lot happened in 2018, you were not wrong.
For those who need a refresher on all that happened since Jan. 1, Google put together its annual Year in Search video, which uses search terms to show what was most important to users this year.
From the release of “Black Panther” to the viral sensation that was Walmart yodeler Mason Ramsey and everything in between, Google had it all.
But for Arizonans, there was one notable person whose death marked 2018: Sen. John McCain.
McCain’s presence in the Google video came after the “What makes a good role model” search term.
The late senator died in August following a year-long battle with brain cancer.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey picked Jon Kyl to succeed McCain. Kyl will resign from the Senate on Dec. 31.
