PHOENIX — According to Fodor’s Travel, “there’s a little bit of everything under the Tucson sun.”
That’s why the travel guide named the Arizona city to its “Go List” of 52 global destinations for 2019.
The guide recommended travelers visit Tucson for its adobe architecture, countless saguaros and Mexican dishes.
Fodor’s gave three ideas for places to stay: Adobe Rose Bed and Breakfast, Canyon Ranch and JW Mariott Starr Pass.

The guide noted that Tucson is known for being bike-friendly and has bike rentals available for tourists looking to get off their feet.
But unsurprisingly, the guide makes a clear warning — avoid the “excruciatingly hot” summer months.
To get in the Tucson spirit, the guide recommended watching the movies “Tombstone” (set in Tombstone, Arizona) and “Tin Cup” (partially filmed in Tubac, Arizona).
Some of the other destinations recommended were relatively nearby, like Utah’s Bears Ears National Monument and Mexico City.
Others, including Chennai, India; Croatia’s National Parks; Bahia, Brazil; and Palau, Micronesia require quite a hike.
