PHOENIX — Senate hopeful Martha McSally’s Twitter speech conceding the race to Kyrsten Sinema has been lighting up social media, with comments applauding her civility and others upset with her decision.
The Republican congresswoman from Tucson posted a concession speech Monday shortly before 5 p.m. She led Sinema, a Democrat, when Election Night ended, but the race had been too close to call.
Congrats to @kyrstensinema. I wish her success. I’m grateful to all those who supported me in this journey. I’m inspired by Arizonans’ spirit and our state’s best days are ahead of us. pic.twitter.com/tw0uKgi3oO

After McSally’s video went online, responses began popping up.
This is graceful…a great attempt to regain some sense of normalcy and trust in elections. Americans should be worried when the president is cavalierly trafficking baseless allegations of voter fraud and “electoral corruption”.

Remarkable & thoughtful concession speech from #McSally . Rest of the GOP could learn from her.

Martha, thank you so much for your grace and for putting country above party. ❤️

The fact that there is shock & awe that a candidate did what they are supposed to do & acted like a human being is what is wrong. This action by #McSally should not be overly celebrated because this is NORMAL and is what should be. By saying it is extrordinary that makes it so. https://t.co/5DybgkMrQH

One poster on Facebook wrote:
Thank you for rising above the nastiness of today’s politics. You are a class act and will make Arizona proud in another seat soon.”
Other supporters wished McSally had waited out the rest of the outstanding 172,000 ballots.
DO NOT lay down for this. Fight colonel McSally! We are with you. #StolenElection

You should not have conceded so fast. There is massive fraud of illegals voting and ballot stuffing being discovered. Tables count have turned for you. I wish you well in spite of.

You should sue them for fraud.
