Lil Wayne, Post Malone, Cardi B top bill for Phoenix’s Pot of Gold festival

Nov 9, 2018, 1:30 PM | Updated: 7:44 pm

PHOENIX – Lil Wayne, Post Malone and Cardi B will top the bill for the 2019 Pot of Gold music festival, it was announced Friday.

The annual St. Patricks’ weekend event, heading into its fifth year, will be held for the first time at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix on March 15-17.

Fans can sign up online for a presale that begins at 10 a.m. Monday. Presale registration closes at midnight Sunday. No information was provided about a general public sale date or ticket prices.

Performances are scheduled for 4-11 p.m. March 15 (Friday), and 3-11 p.m. March 16-17 (Saturday-Sunday).

In addition to the music, the event will include amusement rides and carnival games for the first time.

The Friday lineup wasn’t released, but Lil Wayne and Cardi B are the big names for Saturday and Post Malone for Sunday.

Jhene Aiko, Lil Baby, Tinashe, Young MA, Doja Cat and Preme round out Saturday’s bill.

Young Thug, Lil Pump, Ski Mask The Slump God, Young Dolph, Saint Jhn, Tyla Yaweh and Asian Doll are scheduled to perform Sunday.

The hip-hop heavy bill is a change from past Pots of Gold, which featured more eclectic lineups.

The 2018 event at Rawhide in Chandler included a variety of genres, including performances by Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, Russ, Rebelution and Sturgill Simpson.

In 2017, when the festival ran two days, G-Eazy, Flogging Molly, Death Cab for Cutie and Sublime With Rome were the headliners.

We want to hear from you.
