PHOENIX — Arizona Snowbowl is set to open for the winter ski season on Nov. 16, six days later than it was opened in 2017.
Single-day and season passes passes are available at the Flagstaff resort’s website.
Single-day prices vary by day and start at $35.
Snowbowl features more than 30 trails and six chair lifts, which typically open around 9 a.m.
For first-timers, lessons are available three times a day, starting with four-hour lessons beginning at 9:45 a.m. and two-hour lessons beginning at 9:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Despite snow falling in October, it wasn’t enough to maintain a base for winter activities and staff has begun making snow.
Snow-making systems can cover 65 percent of the trails on the mountain.
Snowbowl was the first resort to start making snow in 2017, starting the process in late September.
