PHOENIX — President Donald Trump took to social media to show his support for Republicans Martha McSally and Doug Ducey on Saturday.

McSally and opponent Kyrsten Sinema are running to replace Republican Jeff Flake’s seat in the U.S. Senate ahead of Tuesday’s Election Day.

Trump tweeted that McSally will provide the border security that opponent Democrat Kyrsten Sinema “doesn’t even think about.” The president said that Sinema would allow “drugs, crime and illegal traffic” into Arizona.

Trump misspelled Sinema’s name in the tweet.

Sinema recently expressed her support of border patrol, telling KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Jim Sharpe on Tuesday that she’s “long supported having additional support on the border.”

“We do need a robust, comprehensive effort on the southern border,” Sinema said.

Trump also endorsed Gov. Doug Ducey via twitter, who is running for re-election against Democrat David Garcia.

He said Ducey has his “full and complete endorsement” and that he is “strong on crime, the border, and our Second Amendment.”

A recent OH Predictive Insights/ABC15 poll showed McSally with a seven-point lead with 52 percent of the vote compared to Sinema’s 45 percent.

In the same poll, Ducey has maintained 57 percent of votes as opposed to Garcia’s 39 percent.

We want to hear from you.
