PHOENIX — Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Wednesday that his office has mailed over $118,000 in restitution checks related to an ABC Nissan settlement.
The checks are for 98 consumers who said they were affected by the Phoenix dealership’s alleged false online advertising and financing practices.
“Arizonans deserve an honest, transparent, and fair car buying experience,” Brnovich said in a news release.
“Consumers rely on online pricing. Advertising inaccurate prices online is unfair to consumers and to other businesses playing by the rules,” he said.
The two parties reached a settlement in June, forcing the dealership to pay the restitution and improve its accuracy in ads.
Consumers receiving the checks had to have filed their complaint by Sept. 13.
