PHOENIX — Crayon company Crayola announced plans Tuesday to open a Crayola Experience in Chandler next summer.

The 20,000-square-foot attraction in Chandler Fashion Center will be the fifth of its kind in the country.

There will be a 4,000-square-foot retail space, containing the world’s largest selection of Crayola products and souvenirs.

The rest of the space is dedicated to 19 hands-on activities, including “Wrap it Up,” where guests name and wrap their own crayon, and “Be a Star,” where guests can star in their own coloring page.

“Crayola Experience is more than just an attraction – it’s a dynamic and colorful place where families can come together to create, play and make memories that will last a lifetime,” Victoria Lozano, senior vice president of retail, said in a news release.

“Our new Crayola Experience in Chandler perfectly aligns with its family-friendly community and we look forward to welcoming the community next summer,” she said.

The attraction will be open year-round and is expected to hire more than 100 employees.

It will hosts private events and parties, and families will be able to purchase annual passes.

We want to hear from you.
