PHOENIX — Authorities in Mesa are investigating after a man was found dead inside of a Mexican grocery store on Monday.

Det. Steve Barry with the Mesa Police Department said officers were first called to Lindo Mercado, near Broadway Road and Center Street, to treat an injured person.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man inside who was dead from “trauma.” Berry said the death “appeared suspicious.”
