PHOENIX — Election Day is right around the corner, and comedian Amy Schumer used her social media pages to get out the vote — while announcing some exciting news of her own.
Schumer announced Tuesday that she was expecting her first child with chef Chris Fischer — and also encouraged her fans in Arizona to vote Democrat Kyrsten Sinema to the U.S. Senate.
Schumer made the announcement in an Instagram post for her fans who “want to know some of my recommendations for Nov. 6.”
The two-image post names several candidates in nationwide races, including Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Texas, and Sinema.
At the end of the second post it reads, “I’m pregnant — Amy Schumer.”

Schumer, 37, teased the announcement the day before in a separate Instagram post where hers and Fischer’s heads were photoshopped onto a photo of pregnant Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Schumer and Fischer were married in Malibu, California, in February. She was expected to make a stop in Phoenix next month and perform at the Comerica Theatre on Nov. 25 as part of her “Amy Schumer and Friends” tour.
Sinema is running against Republican Rep. Martha McSally to replace U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake, who was not seeking re-election.
A poll released last week showed Sinema leading McSally — 47 percent to 41 percent — ahead of the midterm election.
