PHOENIX — More rain was likely to dampen the Phoenix area early this week, but the weather system responsible will also bring some wind and temperatures in the upper 70s.
The low Monday at Phoenix Sky Harbor was 64 degrees, according to the National Weather Service; the high was expected to reach a cloudy 77. By the end of the week temperatures will climb back into the mid-80s and conditions will dry out.
The best chance for rain will come Tuesday, when the odds were 70 percent, ABC15 predicted.
Phoenix has already logged more rain in October than it ever has for the month.
A new weather system will bring rain to much of central and eastern AZ (mainly tonight) but dry and very windy conditions to the Lower Colorado River Valley and southeast CA today. #azwx #cawx pic.twitter.com/p9rDD09kJM

Rain over the weekend disrupted the Arizona State Fair and showers on Sunday caused flood advisories to go into effect in Maricopa County in the morning and early afternoon.
Another advisory, for urban and small streams in the area, lasted until after 8 p.m.
Weather experts were anticipating more snow and temperatures in the 20s and upper teens in the high country, making for unseasonably cold conditions.
