Authorities investigating single-engine airplane crash in Payson

PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating an airplane crash that occurred in Payson.

A small-engine airplane crashed into a Payson home Saturday night, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA said the pilot, whose name was not released, was believed to be the lone person on board.

The pilot’s condition was not immediately known and there were no reports of injuries or fatalities on the ground, the FAA said.

It is not known how the crash happened.
