Maricopa County Recorder’s Office seeking general election workers

PHOENIX — Have some spare time and want to help out with the upcoming election?
The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office is looking for applicants to fill multiple positions to help out with the upcoming general election.
The positions available are elections warehouse driver and worker, early voting clerk, troubleshooter and ballot tabulation.
According to the job description, election workers will help out before, during and after election cycles. Some of the duties may include researching voter information, assisting the public with the election process, sorting and processing ballots and operating computer terminals, among other things.
The pay ranges from $10.50 to $15.00 an hour.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate and is registered or can become as an Arizona voter. A valid Arizona driver license’s is require for anyone looking to to apply to driver positions. Interested parties must also be able to work overtime as it is expected for the upcoming election.
The 2018 general election is Nov. 6.
On the ballot are a U.S. Senate and all nine U.S. House seats, the governor and other top state officials, several initiatives and all 90 state House and Senate seats.
Voters must be U.S. citizens, 18 years old by Election Day, a resident of the county where registering and have no felony convictions unless their civil rights have been restored.
