PHOENIX – Readers of a major travel magazine have spoken, and they really like Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Arizona’s largest airport was ranked No. 7 in the 2018 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards for best U.S. airports.
Sky Harbor was noted for its renovation of Terminal 4, which included the addition of locally based restaurants Cowboy Ciao and Blanco Taco, as well as an increase in international flights.
The magazine also said the airport had an uncrowded feel.
Indianapolis International Airport was No. 1 on the list.
More than 400,000 readers participated in the annual survey, and the results were released this week.
In the magazine’s best U.S. hotels award list, The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley was rated the best in the Southwest and eighth-best in the nation.
In the awards for the nation’s best small cities, Sedona came in sixth.
