PHOENIX — Get ready, taco lovers.
The ninth annual Arizona Taco Festival kicks off Saturday.
Over the course of the weekend, more than 50 restaurants, food trucks and caterers will fill Salt River Fields with their best takes on the Mexican dish.
Taco enthusiasts can purchase a general admission ticket for $12 or go a step higher with a VIP pass for $100.
With the purchase of tokens, the different taco spots will serve up $2 tacos, while margaritas, beer, water and soda will be on tap at the bars and beverage stations.
Kids 12 and under get into the taco fest free of charge. There’s also the Kids Zone, which features 7-10 attractions.
In addition to the mass amounts of tacos, there will also be live music, Lucha Libra wrestling, hot chile pepper and crunchy taco eating contests and taco award presentations.
And who could forget the chihuahua beauty pageant or the tequila expo?
A portion of the proceeds will go toward Wings for Warriors and Linking Sports.
The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Parking at Salt River Fields is free, but limited.
