PHOENIX — Enjoy an evening masquerade and dinner with the presence of your pup.
The Arizona Animal Rescue Mission will host its annual Mutt Masquerade on Saturday at the Mesa Country Club.
Attendees are invited to dress their dogs up for the costume contest and photo booth with props for pets and owners alike. Additionally, there will be a pet caricature artist and a doggie toy and treat bar.
There will also activities for humans, including a buffet and dessert bar and live and silent auctions.
While masks are encouraged, the evening’s dress code is casual dress.
Tickets start at $125 for an individual person, or $20 for a dog.
The rescue mission, founded in 2015, gives 100 percent of its proceeds to the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
According to the website, the money helps the Maricopa County shelters purchase equipment, supplies and medication. When the facilities fill up, the recue mission also helps the county move animals — including to different states.
The site said the rescue mission saves thousands of animals each year.
“We are raising funds to ensure every animal in our county’s shelter receives quality care and the best possible opportunity for finding a new and loving home,” the website said.
