Loop 303 northwest of Phoenix near Cactus Road reopens

PHOENIX — Authorities shut down part of Loop 303, a far northwest Phoenix-area freeway, early Monday for an investigation.
The freeway was closed in both directions at Waddell Road in Surprise around 4 a.m. Southbound drivers were directed to exit at Cactus Road and allowed back on at Greenway Road.
The lanes were reopened about 7 a.m.

Northbound drivers had been made to exit at Bell Road.
Troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety were on the scene.
No other details were immediately available.
