LONDON (AP) – Northern Ireland police investigating activity by Irish Republican Army dissidents say a man has been charged over a bomb discovered last year.
The 32-year-old suspect, who was not named by police, was charged Sunday with possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.
Officers say the alleged offense related to an improvised device discovered during searches in the South Armagh and East Tyrone areas during the Easter weekend last year.
Police say the man is scheduled to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Police from Northern Ireland’s serious crime branch arrested the suspect Saturday.
